Frequently Asked Questions

About the Product

Pineapple Cider Vinegar (PCV) is produced by fermenting the juice of fresh pineapples. During fermentation, the natural sugars in the juice are first converted into alcohol by wild yeasts, and then into acetic acid by beneficial bacteria. Sinar Brew uses a unique fermentation technology that combines this traditionally two-stage process into a single, carefully controlled fermentation. This approach helps retain the fruit’s natural aromas and flavours while producing a vibrant, tangy vinegar rich in bioactive compounds. Sinar Brew Pineapple Cider Vinegar is unfiltered and unpasteurised, meaning the Mother of Vinegar — the living culture formed during fermentation — remains intact and active in every bottle.

The Mother of Vinegar is a naturally occurring culture of beneficial bacteria, wild yeasts, and fermentation-derived proteins that forms during traditional vinegar fermentation. It appears as a cloudy sediment in the bottle. The Mother is a sign that your vinegar is raw, unfiltered, and alive — and it is the source of many of the prebiotic and functional benefits associated with raw vinegar. Most commercial vinegars are filtered and pasteurised, removing the Mother entirely. Sinar Brew always keeps it intact.

Sinar Brew Pineapple Cider Vinegar shares many of the same functional properties as apple cider vinegar - acetic acid, the Mother of Vinegar, and fermentation-derived bioactives - but it offers several distinct advantages. Pineapple naturally contains bromelain (a powerful digestive enzyme unique to pineapple), vitamin C, and a rich array of polyphenolic antioxidants. It also has a naturally smoother, sweeter flavour profile that makes daily consumption far more enjoyable than apple cider vinegar.

No. Sinar Brew Pineapple Cider Vinegar contains no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners. The natural sugars present in the pineapple juice are fully converted during fermentation, resulting in a sugar-free product.

Note

These statements are based on published scientific research and are phrased as "may support" to reflect the current state of evidence. Sinar Brew is a food product, not a medicine.

How much should I take each day?

We recommend 15 ml (1-2 tablespoons) per day, diluted in a glass of water. You can also add to soda and juices. Add honey or natural syrups to sweeten if desired. Many people find a morning routine - taking their daily dose before breakfast - works best for consistency.

Can I take it if I have a health condition?

If you have a pre-existing health condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, we recommend consulting your doctor or healthcare provider before adding any new supplement or functional food to your routine. Pineapple cider vinegar is a food product, not a medicine, and should not replace medical advice or treatment.

Is it safe to drink every day?

Yes. When consumed in the recommended amount (15 ml diluted in water), Sinar Brew Pineapple Cider Vinegar is safe for daily consumption for most healthy adults. We recommend mixing it with water, soda, or juice rather than drinking it neat, making it more enjoyable to drink and gentler on the teeth.

Using Sinar Brew

How do I use it?

Sinar Brew is incredibly versatile. The most common way is to dilute 15 ml in a glass of water each morning. You can also use it as a salad dressing base, a marinade for meats and vegetables, a pickling liquid, or a flavour boost in mocktails, smoothies, and cooking. See our Recipes & Articles section for inspiration.

Unlike apple cider vinegar, which can be quite sharp and harsh, Sinar Brew Pineapple Cider Vinegar has a mellow mouthfeel and a naturally tropical character with lively tanginess. The pineapple base brings bright fruit overtones and a subtle sweetness, developing into a gently caramelly sweet-sour finish through fermentation.

Sinar Brew can be stored in a cool, dry cupboard for up to three years unopened. Once opened, we recommend keeping it refrigerated and using it within three months.

Yes — the cloudiness is a sign that your vinegar is alive and working. The Mother of Vinegar naturally settles at the bottom of the bottle and creates a cloudy appearance when shaken. This is completely normal and desirable. Give the bottle a gentle shake before use to redistribute the Mother.
